Handmade Leather Wallet

Here’s the first new project I’ve been hinting at over on Facebook (come find us at ashcraft creative): a wallet for Mark. He asked me over a year ago to make one for him, but couldn’t settle on a layout or design until now. He opted for a simple and small one he could keep in his front pocket, and designed an eagle holding a scroll to cross all the sections and folds. Here is the design cut out

The scroll refers to Romans 12:2 as a reminder that we should not conform to this world.

It was a really fun piece to carve, I got to try some new techniques. I’m so glad to have finally made him his wallet too, although he’s already talking about the next one…
