Dinosaur Putt Putt

Our son recently turned four, and asked for a dinosaur themed birthday party.  Well except he only wanted grandparents to come, no friends.  Mark and the kids worked one weekend on a dinosaur putt putt game to play, and it turned out even better than I imagined it would!  He started with some trace paper (the only large enough roll of paper we had) and sketched them out.  He colored each with oil pastels, cut them out, modge podged them onto gatorboard, and outlined with a thick sharpie.

We have had so much fun playing with them, a couple didn’t have enough room to hit the ball through so they try to eat the “dinosaur egg” golf ball as it passes.

I love how each one has their own personality.  The kids got to request their favorite colors/types of dinosaur and help with the process, so while it was a lot of work, we all enjoyed it.

I know the blog posts have been pretty infrequent lately, I have quite a few  leather projects to share after Christmas but since they are gifts, I can’t show them now and ruin the surprise.  In the meantime please follow more of our process and everyday posts on instagram and on facebook.
